Had the new S3 for nearly a week now and we are still deeply in love. What a great bike.

I felt the need to remove that rear number-plate business. The new look gives me serious wood but .... I fitted some LED indicators and they flash a bit fast. Anybody know what resistor I could solder into the wiring to get the flash-rate back to normal?

Yes. Two ten ohm resistors inline for each signal, front or rear. I soldered mine at the rear because I could hide them under the seat.

First, they don't go "in line" they go across the lamp (parallel);

Second, don't use a resistor at all, (they will get hot so be careful where you mount them if you must use them!) get a non-load flasher module -

or

I believe Autozone also carries a non-load flasher relay.

You're right, they go parallel. I just checked my drawing. The resistors get hot, but not enough to cause damage. I have the signal cancelling relay, but for those that don't, those are good links.

Just one additional piece of info - those 10 ohms need to be at least 20W rating. Anything less & they are going to fry.
Or a single 6 ohm resistor at 50W would do
Those are also available at the second link above - $20 for four resistors vs 1 relay @ $13 however - also plug n play vs the work of connecting them in kinda makes the relay option a no- brainer)

Speed 3, can you share some info on the signal cancelling relay? Does it cancel after turns as well (eg. like an OEM Yamaha) or just based on a timer? Brand, cost, source, etc.?Thanks!..

Thanks, good advice. I found a flasher unit in the UK (£14) at Ultraleds.co.uk and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I am hoping that it will be a straight swap for the 3 spade flasher relay.
