Well, its at least a 6 month wait for an S3 down under (expected delivery April 06!) As I commute in traffic, good mirrors are important, and I'm not keen on the bar end solutions.

The stock mirrors seem to stick up, rather than out. What is the stem made of? Can the bend be made more acute, placing the mirror further out and improving the view behind?

Thanks,

Ian.

ic: You can get mirror extenders for the OEM ones but I think that the result looks a bit odd IMHO. I agree with you, the bend needs to be more acute and I reckon that the OEM mirrors would be OK if they were like that.

But not as cool as those TNT mirrors of ES3s............ :upthumb:

The stock mirrors seem to have a decent view of the adjacent lanes but not your own. I installed some bar end mirrors and it's just the opposite. Good vision behind me but a hell of a blind spot. I like it better and will look over my shoulder.

I've had the same problem IC, and yes you can
bend the original mirrors - with success.
I now have a much better view!

How did you bend them?
Did it break the finish at the bend?
