I just dropped my bike the other day and when I picked it up I noticed liquid dripping from the radiator. Must have knocked one of the hoses loose, I thought. But no,***** me, I discovered the front indicator is mounted on a sort of stud that goes into the radiator. So the indicator, being a sort of sticky-out-bit, makes contact with the tarmac before any of the other bits and that knocks it out of its mount on the radiator, and there you are with a little hole spurting out hot water, yes all right, I know, spurting hot water from the hole in the radiator, I mean!

Now, radiators don't come cheap. So a little bit of carelessness can mean it costs over 300 quid to replace your indicator.

Anybody else had the same problem?

You'd think the design blokes at Triumph could have thought of a better way of mounting the indicators. But there you are.

Anyone ever come across a way of taking the indicators off the radiator and mounting them somewhere else, where they won't cause so much damage if they get knocked off?

Back in the days, some front indicators were mounted on the sides of the headlight bracket or on brackets attached to the handlebars.

Or you could just take 'em all off...........

Kellerman make bar end mounted signals that are pretty cool. A friend has them.

Where can one get those frame sliders? Wish a moderator made a 'sticky' with all these FAQ, rather than having to search to death issues we don't even know exist.

Thanks for the heads up buddy. And yes, that's a serious problem, since a simple tip-over can leave you stranded wherever you are; not good. Harley mounts them to the bars, but I think the frame-slider idea is the easiest and cheapest, plus it'd protect other bits in a harder fall.

I have a set of the sky king frame sliders if you want them you could make me an offer. They have been installed but never "used". these mount to the front radiator bolt.
