Does any one know what this is (assuming that you are changing the filter)? This info is missing from my owner's manual and I could not find it in a quick web search. Thanks

3.50 litres - dry fill.

3.20 litres - wet fill with filter change.

3.00 litres - wet fill excluding filter change

BB,

Do you not have a new owners manual? It is in the specs and capacities section in the back... Easy to miss, but there. The proper torque for the drain plug and filter are there too. BTW, just make the filter as tight as you can by hand. Too much tighter can cause it to leak.

It's not in mine and I got my bike in June. I got those figures from the factory workshop manual. Does the new handbook have a more relevant pic of the oil level dipstick?
In mine it looks nothing like the actual dipstick.

Darkskies,

Interesting. Mine has the caps on the very first page of the specifications section on the bottom, under "lubrication" Page: 113

The torque settings are on the last page of the specs section on 116. They are the correct numbers. The ones listed in the maint. section are listed incorrectly.

My manual packet did have a little piece of paper in the sleeve that said 2006. Maybe they updated it? :???:

On the dipstick mine has a bunk picture. The correct level is above the little hash mark section in between the indents. Like this... |xxx| |... The level should be in the blank section above the crosshatch.
