I wanna do a yoke conversion with Renthals etc on mine as my wrists are wrecked from old accidents etc. Just wondering if anyone had ever done it before. Could also do with a new shock, does anyone know what other bikes have a rear shock that would fit? Would prefer a bit longer and heavier duty.
Cheers, Rob. :-D

hello rob,
i am a proud owner of a t309. in fact, i just posted a picture on the picture thread. i am exiled geordie, now living in houston. so you'll have to fill me in......on the uk spec 95 models, are the bars above the triple clamp? one of my mates did a heli bar on his 95. i'll try and find some information for you. i just posted a thread a few days ago looking for other t309 owners because i'd like to find more trick bits. i'm busy installing some billet harris clip ons on mine with more of a drop so i'm gong in the exact opposite direction than you. any contact information on vendors that still have some bits and pieces lying around would be great.

Bloody ell, how did a geordie end up in Texas? :-D
My bars are below the clamp as it happens mate, it would probably help if i put em above as it wouldnt really change the geomtery as the forks have been dropped through the yokes anyway. The only reason im changing em is my bloody wrists. Last time i had a speed triple i hadnt done as much damage to my wrists. Ah well, such is life :-D
Bits and pieces, try Triumphant in Soth Wales mate, they break Triumphs. Cant remember the website address but im sure youll find it on Yahoo or the likes.
Anyway, im off for a pint before th pub shuts, seeya later :-D

Another T309 rider here; I'd also like to know of any cool bits and pieces that are available-particularly frame sliders. I was looking at bar risers and a friend put me on to http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/sbk.cfm. That said, my 48 year old wrists and back are finally acclimating themselves to the S3 ergos, so risers are now on the back burner.

Cafetbird put the double sided swingarm Daytona shock on this T'Bird and your S3 is pretty similar.

dracula,

i don't know houstonians on the board but i'm sure they will respond if you start a new thread. if you want a t3, its probably best to try and find a 96 so you can get the 6 speed box.
