Quick question...

I have just bought my first Triumph. A 2005 Speed Triple and I notice that at certain revs it feels like it is misfiring or running rather rough. As soon as I accelerate it is fine.

The dealer told me that another rider mentioned the same and he adjusted the system on the bike to be setup for open exhaust. He made this change to my bike and it has improved a little.

Can anybody help me understand this better. :???:

Sounds like a "remapping" of the EFI system. Normally when you get an "off road" or aftermarket exhaust, the bike needs a re-map to adjust for the exhaust. There are different settings that can be used to adjust the system. My bike backfired a lot when i put a Triumph High Mount can on, then I got a re-map and all was good!!!
