Just picked up an '02 triple a few days ago and thought id introduce myself. My previous bike was a 98 VFR which was stolen a few months ago. I was waiting for a 'busa with the triple as my second choice but got an awesome deal on the triple. (1400 miles 5500$) Im pretty happy with the decision so far. The triple is definatly more comfortable than the busa and once i got to riding it I believe I will have more fun on it, especially through the twisties.

On to the bike, as i mention, 02 jet black triple with the following mods and accesories:
Reg mount CF Triumph pipe with remap
conversion to single light on front (i will be switiching it back)
guages mounted to handlebars
custom painted ducati red fuel tank
carbon fiber fender
carbon fiber body guards
black radiator cover
fish eye bar end mirror to replace stock mirrors
passenger seat cowling
fender eliminator with matching front and rear turn signals
removal of passenger pegs with additional bought modified
rear peg holder to hold exhaust can

The only issues I have had with the bike so far are that it seems to surge when shifting under heavy acceleration and a bit of backfiring under decel which i hope to solve with an EGA and one of our mechanics (i work at a triumph dealership) sometime next week.

Only question i have for now is just wondering what kind of mileage i should expect.

Nice bike! Some interesting mod's as well, but glad to hear you're going back to the dual lamps. Just doesn't seem right to have only one....

Post some pics! FWIW, I was a bit disappointed at first when I was getting 37-39mpg. Used to get upper 40's with my RS. But when I changed to synth oil at 750 miles it instantly got better. Don't know if it is the oil itself or a combination of that and the motor breaking in but during the 475 miles I rode this weekend I averaged 45 mpg (and that was with quite a bit of "spirited" riding).
