Has anyone put on the Arrow Exhaust system on their 05 ST yet?
http://www.arrow.it/eng/ricercaprodo...pro.asp?id=767

Which one?
Did you buy the header pipes too?
How was the sound?
How was the length compared to the standard exhaust? On the web picture they look like they might be a tad longer than the standard exhaust.
How do you like them?

Sorry - I mis-spoke in my first post. It is a 1 into 2 mid-pipe, not a header.

I still want to know if anyone has put on just an Arrow Silencer (and which one) and if it was with the 1 into 2 mid-pipe and how they like it.

I dont think you'll have much luck, it's been my experience since reading this board for about a year and owning my 05 s3 for about 5 months that nobody who buys this bike, or at least VERY few in the US really care about performance much.

Mostly mid life crisis forty-somethings that bought it cause it looks tough and makes them look like they can actually ride.
Start a thread about a fly screen or some goofy bar end mirrors and you'll be swamped with responses.

Wow.. flame bait or what... Could it be that the performance out of the box is pretty dam good to begin with? Could it be that this topic has been discussed to death, and the general concensus is wait and see what is going to be coming out in the future? Especially given the addition of cans is a pretty minor boost, and until something significantly better than the TORS comes out no one wants to waste their cash? As this motor is so new, the manufactures have yet to produce anything for it of consequence. If you were to actually pay attention to the meat of articles here the old timers are all about performance mods. Perhaps they are just kids who can ride like Hayden and want to wring out there motors as much as possble. Surely, non of those guys are 40-something, who buy the bike cuz it's bad a$$ looking, but can't really ride... :hammer:

If you actually looked through the recent posts you would find a fairly reasonable discussion on the potential for engine mods on the 1050. Pretty much none, except for a complete exhuast system. NOT just a set of cans...

Now, to the guy with the guestion, that your post obviously did not help with...

The staintuned cans and rear crossover seem to be the most popular so far second to the TORS and factory remap. I looked into them, but didn't really like how they look overall. I prefer the look of the original cans. I went with the TORS personally. They sound great, but not overbearingly loud, the bike runs smoother with the new map (should get this either way). Also, adding aftermarket cans/exhaust voids the warranty. Not an option for me personally.

Oh, and I'm NOT fortysomething, the bike IS badass... and I CAN ride, and for me the bike kick a$$ just the way it is... Barend mirrors and all...

Actually, I think it's because nobody has fitted one of these yet. I haven't seen any pictures that feature and Arrow exhaust system (here) and there have been no claims of HP or even a price quote from the web site.

That, and web sites that feature too much flash animation should be banned, their webmeisters strung up by their naughty bits, and their servers relegated to silicone h€ll.

Waterdawg...

Here is a fairly comprehensive disscusion on aftermarket exhaust for the 05-06. I'm not sure if the Arrow is mentioned...

I can't speak for arrows but I know they do good work so there is no reason their pipes should be much different from mine

With Wolf we found 7 bhp with just mufflers whilst 12 bhp with the 1/2 system.... Arrows I'm sure will be near that if they did it right so there is a good gain from the 1/2 system
