Hello, I would like to modify the ugly rear fender on my 98' s3. I read some place that there is something you can do to the stock one with out buying a kit. If I can modify the stock one, I could really gain some points with the wife....possibly even run a little a/c into the dog house, where I currently reside. As I just laid down the rest of the cash yesterday to pick it up. She is not very hip to spending more money on it now. If you know of the thread please let me know. Thanks Jon

I got the same year bike, and did the mod. Check out skykingproducts.com, they sell a kit for $50, they also have instructions on their site which shows you how to trim off the undertail, I used a hacksaw. If youre handy and want to save the $59, you can take some sheet metal, some brackets and bolts and put something together that should probably work. I paid the money and it worked out great. Go buy some roses and dinner for you're old lady.
