Reading this now makes sense for me in realtion to my Speedy.

When I bought my 2012 model the sales guy mentioned that also the recall on the lights have already been performed on my bike.

When I asked him what for, he didn't know... I guessing it's for this reason of the cracking in the lens..

Mine Cracked today, two inches and irregular. Warranty claim for me.

I got a call from the dealership two weeks after I bought the biek, saying they had a new set of headlights or my bike. Seems that as soon as I left the dealership, they made the warranty claim straight away. Getting them installed with the first service.

OK, my headlight cracked. The dealer told me that the USA Triumph has now issued a service bulletin authorizing replacement of the entire headlight assembly at no cost. If your headlight part number does NOT contain a dash in the part number on the front of the lens you will be eligible for a replacement at no cost.

hmmmm. i bought a pair of the 2011+ style lights off a member here and put them on my 2009. I wonder if I could still manage to get the new ones under warranty...

I was talking to my deaer today about the lens issue.
He mentioned that at the bottom of the lights on the lens you should see a serial number.

If there's a "hyphen" in the serial (I think it's just before the serial) then you have the fixed lights.
If not you still have the old stock lights which are the ones prone to cracking..

i called my dealer today about my cracked lenses and he asked me what the last 6 digits of the VIN Chassis number. He looked it up and said i have to take my bike in to get the lights changed and there is a warranty recall on the radiator hose as well. It may pay to ask your dealer about that too.

Emailed my dealer, and gave them my VIN for my 2011 S3. They said, "I checked and your machine does have a service bulletin for replacement of the headlight assembly." I wonder if it's just the lens, or more than that.

When I called my dealer he looked up the last 6 digits of my VIN and told me the headlight lenses and the radiator hose needed to be done under warranty.

Maybe ask them what else needs to be done.
