It's surprisingly common around here, especially in rural areas and at no-name gas stations. I'm not overly choosy with the car, but I try to stick with major brands when filling the bikes, and whenever possible I like to buy from a select few local stations whom I know to keep their tanks well maintained. Otherwise, it's all too easy to end up with bare minimum additive packages, fraudulently low octane, and/or water contamination in the fuel.
