it seems like everytime i go out and the beat on the triple it starts leaking oil out of the fill plug. not enough to warrant adding any oil between oil changes but enough to dribble down and get on the pipe after a days hard riding. I checked the o ring on the plug and i feel like the plug is going to snap if i try to tighten it any more. any thoughts?

Overtightening the plug could deform the O-ring, causing it to lose it's seal. You could try some Teflon sealing tape on the threads, just be careful not to let any drop down into the case the next time you remove the plug. If the problem persists, it might be worth investing in a new fill plug or at least a new O-ring, as it's difficult to tell when an O-ring is worn out. Just my thoughts, but I'm no expert. Good luck!

Ooh... I wouldn't use teflon tape there... WAY to likely to drop some in. Would it do damage? Who knows, but I wouldn't chance that. Especially given the frequency that the stick 'should' get pulled.

I'd try a new O-ring, and while your at it, order a new stick. You might have accidentally crossthreaded it a bit, thus causing the poor seal. :-D

Also, make sure your oil isn't overfilled. The level should be between the marks on the sight glass while the bike is level.
