Sorry if this has been talked before, but I have a problem trying to solve the vacuum problem. I have these two pieces:

Which were quickly removed by my dealer, but later at home, I found that the hose had two stretches that could lead to the vacuum. So the thing now is that I don't know in which direction does the valve go, and if cutting that part of the hose and putting all together again would solve the problem.

Can you please help me? :hammer:

the tip-over valve on my 03 is oriented opposite to the one as it appears in your picture. ensure that it is vertical when installed.

i can't guarantee that mine is correct as it has been off and on a couple of times by the dealer and it is currently installed on the drain line instead of the vent line. but heck, since it can't cause a vacuum problem on that line, i'm leaving it there.

kidding aside, some riders remove the valve entirely. the only down-side is that there might be some fuel loss in the event of a bike tip-over. i did an air test with mine awhile ago and know that air will pass through in both directions as it is currently oriented which makes me confident that it is in the correct position.

it is quite possible that the kinks in your line could have been your vacuum problem. removing the kinked section could help but be careful installing the line so as not to kink it again.

replacing the line might be a better option as cutting it will shorten it. the end of the line should be hanging below the engine as original.
