I've been looking at these pretty hard myself. I really like the concept and I'm impressed with the quality. I've tried them on and they're pretty comfortable with quite a bit of room inside. Some guys are afraid to put something hard on their back in case they crash, but I look at it like extra body armor. If you've ever worn one you'd know that there isn't any way it would cause injury during a crash.

The down side is they are hard bags and a little bit difficult to squish stuff into. They're good for a laptop (which is why I want one) a spare sweatshirt, and a few odds and ends. They really don't hold much more than my favorite old courier bag, but it sure offers a lot more protection to my laptop!

I was actually thinking of picking up one this weekend. I'll let you know if I do and it works out.

I have the Kriega R35 http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=16183
Awesome piece of kit. Comfortable, roomy, no flapping parts, very nice pack.

I bought the Axio Swift pack and my only complaint is that I have to wear the straps a little loose because otherwise the back of my helmet hits the top of the backpack causing problems with comfort and visibility. Other than that, the thing is comfortable when adjusted properly, holds quite a few college textbooks, and looks good. I haven't tested it in a torrential downpour to see if the zipper lets water in, but it hasn't been bad at all in a light rain.

Hi

I have both the AXIO Hard-pack and the Kriega R35, both good bits of kit, I use the hard-pack most days for work, easy to get laptop in, normally can get a change of clothes in it as well, if you decide on on one get the speed hump design as you can get stuff in the hump.

Kriega is top quality holds more but not as easy to pack quickly!!!
