A strange thing happened when I changed my front blinkers....
A couple of months ago I made a rear fender eliminator and changed out my stock rear blinkers to LED.
My girl does not like the LED's, she cannot see them well in daylight riding ( she has her own 05 S3), of course there is less resistance so they blink fast....normal,
I don't mind the fast blinking, it draws more attention and the fast blinking signal creates a sense of urgency to the person who See's it ...if they see it
last week I dropped my bike and crushed the clear lens on my right front blinker.
I could not find the place where I put the blinkers off the rear to get a replacement lens.
I had a set of flush mount incandescent sticky back blinkers I picked up, and then decided not to use, I only used them as a last resort... but...now they blink normal again!
anyone else hear that spooky alien movie music in the air???
I think the aftermarket incandescent lights I installed on the front had MORE resistance than the OEM blinkers, just enough to balance the resistance and slow down the blink rate.... just a guess...
I am not an electrician by any stretch of the imagination, so please anyone with any real knowledge on this subject, please speak up.
if I am totally off the mark on this, I will learn something...learning is good.
