I just picked my 2006 Speed Triple. Any advice for break in (or any for that matter concening the S3) not mentioned in manual. You input is greatly appreciated.

redwhiteblue - just be sure to break it in and not "break" it. I think the best recommendation is to just follow mfg's suggestions for break in - but again everyone has thier own opinnion................................. :-D

It is the first model I personally really really love since the 2000 one, which is what I have.

tell us a bit your first impressions, of course, you can't red line it quite yet

My s3 came with the revs limits on a sticker on the tank

First 100 miles - < 3500 revs

100-300 miles - < 5000 revs

300-500 < 6000 revs

then I cannot remember the rest.

I call the 1050 S3 a two wheel go cart. No end to the fun and it just started. Can't wait till mile 501. Thanks for you input. My bike looks like the press picutue. After I do some mods, them my bike will be site worthy.

Break-in? That's easy... All you do is: *controversial content deleted*. I did it, and my bike runs ****! Just be sure not to *controversial content deleted*. After that, your bike will purr like a kitten, and the engine will last 150k miles, guaranteed. :-D
