I have the Ridge...I'm not liking them...there's too much of a gap between the top of my foot and the boot. I have a hard time getting my boot underneath the shifter peg.

Triumph Expedition Boots. Wearing those things is like walking around in sneakers. Holy ***** they're comfortable. My only complaint is that they don't breathe enough and I've gotten them soaking wet down to my toes a few times so there is a bit of a stink to em now, lol. I need to thoroughly defunk them, but they've been awesome over the past year riding in all manner of weather. My toes didn't get cold at all at 27F in the dead of winter.

I think my next boots are going to be a shorter cut stunter type boot like the Sidi Scorpions. Anyone have any experience with those or similar boots?

Hey kuhlka, for when your boots get wet like you describe and even when they just get wet from sweating in hot weather, you should check out something like this:

Boot Dryer

They work awesome, and only operate at about 85 degrees so you never get your boots too hot and damage them. I used one for years when I worked out in the muck every day. If used regularly they also keep you boots from getting too funky.

Don't buy from Cabelas if you can help it; they're expensive. You should be able to find one locally for less $.

Ah, see the problem is that these boots are already funkified. I need to defunk them. That looks like a good thing to have for local trips though to keep the boots fresh when you get home.

After looking at every boot I could try on I found that the Diadora Evolution Veratex fit me the best and worked the best for me. I have never had wet socks from them (rain or sweat) and ride in all weather - from rain to 98 degrees days. I have to say I love my boots.

I paid 40 bucks for them second hand in perfect condition at a trackday swap meet.

Just so the Triumph boots don't get a bad name for getting wet, they only got soaked because I was also wearing the Triumph New Sport Jeans (leather) which tuck under the boots, which just happens to allow water to run down my leg and gradually into the boot. If I'm wearing jeans over my boots I don't have the problem.
