Not being much for fashion, I use Magnums purchased from Sportsman's Guide for $50. They're Cordura and leather lace-ups. Aggressive oil resistant sole and ride up about 8". Very comfortable. The police around here swear by them.

What does everyone here use? I'm in the market; I can't seem to find the right boot.
Since I ride dirt most of the time I wanted something that feel like my Alpine-Stars but for the street. I found these, most comfortable street motorcycle boots I have ever owned, period. To each his own but at least check them out. Also, if you have to get off your bike and walk around, very comfortable....

Might be bit of an overkill for the Californian weather, but I mostly use the Sidi On Roads:

Very comfortable once worn in. They suit me nicely as I like to wear my boots inside the pant leg. I also prefer the old school plain black styling to the Star Wars stormtrooper look of most GP style boots.

On the minus side the On Roads do not have as much hard shelling as the GP boots, but gladly I have not yet had to test the level of ankle protection these boots offer.

Not a huge fan of icon, but i've been using icon motorheads for the past 6 months and they've held up really well [had to crazy glue the footbed tho]. A good streetboot for a great streetbike...

BLACK ODESSA RALLY BOOT

I actually wear these little chippewa numbers. I bought them used and have worn them for a couple years and they have many more in them. They are pretty comfortable(after I slapped in some insoles), have a very high build quality(all leather/double leather in the toes for gearchange), and an interesting look(not quite as plasticy/high tech as some). One can easily wear them with jeans and walk about without looking like you just finished a motocross race.

SIDI:
Though I have never owned a pair of SIDI motorcycle boots, I do have 2 pairs of SIDI cycling shoes. Great build quality. -usually finished quite well and very durable. I have a pair I have worn for over five years and I still wear them every week.

I like my Cruiser-works boots. They come in different widths and are very comfortable to walk around in all day.

Alpinestar SMX plus. Wearing size 43 and they are very comfortable. I have had issue with one of the zippers which needed to be repaired @ $14.00. I'd wager that SIDI is better quality but for $200 I'm satisfied.

I bought a pair of Alpinestars "Ridge" waterproof boots. There are comfortable and offer good support to your ankle. There are also not to bad to walk in off the bike.
I bought them for about $125.00 CDN.

Frey Daytona Roadstars. Extremely good adjustable ankle and lower calf armor/support (I'm sensitive to this because I broke mine once). German made, very high quality. Can be ordered through Helimot. Not sure they are completely waterproof, but I've worn them all day in the rain without my feet getting wet.
