Has anyone seen the 2008-10 Fusion White side by side with a 2011 Crystal White? I wonder if they are different shades of white or just a change in name.

Completely different colours!

Fusion/Opal White (NF) is a solid colour, whereas Crystal White (NW) is a 3-layer pearl.

Sounds like a really nice colour!

I was thinking of a 2011 fly screen for my 08, not sure if it will physically fit because they have changed the instrument cluster but seeing that the bracket looks unchanged I thought it may be worth looking into it further.

Now colour mismatch is a problem, too much mucking around to re-paint it.

Hi I have a 2010 S3 SE In two tone Red and White.
The white stripe is Crystal White and looks really cool in the sunlight there are blue and pinky flecks that sparkle.
It would look nice on a bike with faring and some blue pin striping come to think of it there might be an SE Daytona that colour.

I wonder how much it will cost to repaint the tank and all the other plastic bits in crystal white (or similar).

Btw, colors aside, the 2011 fly screen will not fit on 2008-10 S3. In case someone is after this information.

+1 on the second motgage. Pearls are very expensive to lay down properly . Supplies alone can cost about 1000$ . Leaving prep and application time ( about 3 times longer than normal paint ) to double the cost .

My new 8v Griso is finished in Moon White, which is a metallic pearl. It is absolutely gorgeous, but I live in fear of damaging it somehow. I think it might be cheaper to get a new panel or tank, than get a re-spray!

Metallic pearls are even worse . They can not be repaired to my knowlage. All the metal flake must be laid down at the same time in the same direction in order to make the finnish apear uniform. Otherwise the repair will all ways be very obvious.
