I've returned to Triumph ownership.

Having owned an Aprilia Mille R for the last 3 trouble-free years, its now time for a change. I will be taking delivery of a new black Speed Triple on or soon after 1st September. My local Triumph dealer offered a good trade in on my current bike.

I've owned a 1999 Daytona 955i and 2001 Tiger in the past.

Cool

I'm moving from a 99 Tiger to a 2006 black S3. Hopefully in this weekend- but who knows, the way salesmen are.

I'm picking up my 2k5 next week, if all goes well! I was looking at either an S3, or a 2004 Mille RSV. I decided on the S3, as I figured it'd be more fun to ride around town, and an easier commuter bike, hopefully without sacrificing too much in the twisties. Post some pitchas when you get it. I'll do the same. :chug:

Believe me, you won't be lacking any handling in the turns with the 2005 Triple.

I went from a GSXR-1000 to the Triple, and it's suspension and cornering is near perfect. Very light and precise turn-in and stable as can be at full lean.

Commuting, cornering, ripping, wheelying..........it does it all very well.

Will that be a 2009 Matt Black your taking ownership of? I am almost 100% sure I am going to make the move to a S3 also however no one has an ETA on the 2009 Matt Black. Seems the 2008 have all sold out in Canada and the USA. Was Sept 1st a rough estimate on behalf of the dealer? Any insight you can offer would be appreciated. I've calculated that if I can buy from the USA I will save myself roughly $2300 at least. The nearest dealers are Bucks in Buffalo and Triumph Detroit. One Canadian dealer I have heard late August for a 2009 Matt Black and Bucks said not until Feb 2009 so I am a little confused. I don't think they really know so I don't want to commit to a particular dealer yet. Cheers.

It would be extremely difficult to get 2009 Matt Black in 2005... Check the date on the thread.
