Buying a Speed Triple

Hi I hope you can help I have been offered a Speed Triple against another bike I'm selling. I'm no dealer but have a reasonable ability. This bike is a 1999 model with 14k miles there seems to be no damage, the only thing is it has an after market can, which looks great but he has not got the original. Has any one got any advice for me about this bike. Do I need to watch out for anything, is the triple of that age a good bike?

If it's clean and low mileage and no other mods, and there's still good chicken strips on the tyres, buy it.

I have a 99 model, with 50,000miles and it's still awesome.
