Has anyone got experience of which model S3 offers the best pillion comfort??
My daughter will only ride pillion for any distance on my Fireblade. It seems that the shape of the rear side panels give support to your legs and make you feel more secure than on bikes without this shape.
The previous model S3 with the separate seats also has a similar shaped rear seat unit so I'd interested to know if this model is the best one to go for.
I'm keeping the blade but using it as a taxi doesn't do much for me in the comfort stakes and she hates the S4 ( don't feel secure on it. Keep sliding around. and the Tiger (It vibrates like a road drill)

sparkyjim,

I have found my '04 S3 to be excellent for "2 up" riding. My girlfriend says she is very comfortable on the back and we go for rides (long rides) almost every weekend. I as well, as the "rider" find my S3 to be one of the best bikes for 2up riding that I have ridin. There have been a few threads on here about "pillion comfort"/2up riding/passengers. I have heard that the search engine on this site is quite lacking (and now I agree), but give it a shot & try different variations of search words.

Good Luck

Thanks for that. I've had a look through the other threads and it seems the 02/04 model is the one need (want?) I'll wait til my local dealer gets one in and take for a test ride.
I might end up part exing the S4 if my wife is comfortable riding the S3 (The S4 is hers)
:-D
