Does anyone know the hex size for the front axle/axle nuts on an '05 s3?

Actual tools, or Metric bolt trick size will do

Sorry, not in the service manual.

Assuming you may also need the torque settings:
Front wheel spindle/axle bolt : 110Nm
Front wheel spindle pinch bolts : 20Nm

05 S3 Front axle hex size 22mm, as for the rear wheel nut that would need a 46mm socket.

Ahhhh you guys rock - thanks to the both of you for the info.

Luckily, my gf's duc has the same sized rear nut as the s3

1 less tool to buy

Is the front spindle really that much? Where did you get the info?

Not the front wheel, I know. The brake discs have a bit larger distance from each other, because of the radial mounted brake calipers.
