My '05 speedy either has a rock solid idle at 1300rpm or it shoots up to 2300rpm. Hadn't happened in a while but the problem came back over the weekend. Some forum members with early 1050 bikes appear to have had their TPS replaced by Triumph, after warranty ran out. Can somebody who did this confirm that the symptoms were similar, and share their experience with Triumph asking for this goodwill replacement. Did replacing the TPS fix the issue? Thanks.
Checked all air/vac hoses last week, no leaks. The change in idle is random and clearly defined - 1300/2300 rpm, nothing in between, no fluffiness. The TPS has read 0.59v-0.61v in TuneECU but I've never caught it during an episode of high idle. Generally happens on the road at the most inconvenient time for idle to shoot up. Looking for feedback from 1050 owners who have had their TPS replaced under warranty or goodwill.
