Hello for everyone, I`m new user on this forum as I bought my first Triumph couple of weeks ago.

Well, how can I get that filter box of from the bike?? I took of tank, side panles etc, but that place where box lies is so f***ing tight that it seems that carbs need to be also removed. Am I right or just so stupid that can`t see how job has to be done?

changed my airbox on a '95 just a few weeks ago. sorry to say it but the carbs have to come off its the only way! And nows the time to think if you want to change that air filter for a K&N to get a bit more air into her lungs too. If your thinking i might change the exhaust later now is the time to do it!!! e mail me if you get really stuck!!!! :-D

Tanks a lot!

Thats what I was thinking.. quite a work to get filter out from there..

I have K&N in my beemer and i`m not saticfied with it at all, so i think that i`ll use that original one at least for a while.

Heres the bike

Nice picture, im not set up to post pictures but could e-mail you one if you wanted. Mine is slightly different as have three into one Yoshimura high race exhaust and have changed a few things in the engine to get a bit more power and put smaller indicators on. Its the original S3 and i think so nice to look and and even better to ride. Be careful with the tyre pressures though as mine were low when i bought it and had a little high side incident. What a great bike!!!

What are those changes in engine? Something to do with carbs or cams?
I like also a lot aout that bike, I`ve been driving long time those allroad/enduro bikes so it`s fun to have asphalt bike for a long time. I still have my old Gs so i can get dirty if want to

will send you a picture or two today. As for the engine the cam profile was changed and the had it revalved tighter clearances and bigger valves changed to K&N filters to increase the air in (not 100% convinced this is enough...) and then with the yoshimura exhaust on rebalanced the carbs. I think its still running a little rich so need to do a bit more work but there is so much you can do with the engine its brilliant. It does however mean when i took it for a service the guy had to get some new shims for setting the clearance as the gaps are now smaller. Its making around 110 bhp which isnt bad for a ten year old bike!!!
