Hey Guys,
Great forum. Been lurking as aguest until I made up my mind to get a Triple. Im shooting for sometime in the next month, and wanted to know something. I know Triumphs come with a 2 year warranty. Do they offer extended ones? OR is it some other outfit that does it?
I never buy those things, but I think I'll be at the mercy of the only Triumph dealer in a 150 mile radius, and that kinda worries me.
Do you think the 2 year is good enough?

Thanks in advance,
David

I think the two year is enough. These bikes are very well made. Sorry, but I don't know if Triumph offers an extended warranty.

^5 to beers2u - Have to say i agree on the quality of these bikes - Big reason i went with the Triumph. Not sure on the extended warranty either. Maybe you could contact Triumph USA and find out. Let us know when you get ur bike and post up some pics - can never have too many pics of S3'S................... :-D

All the consumer magazines are quite clear on the subject of extended warranties. In most cases it's money wasted.

Particularly when the bike in question is as trouble free as a Triumph.

Thanks for all the replies. Yea, I never buy them.
ITs nice to hear that Triumph has a good mechanical reputation. I can't wait to get one. Im trynig to find one in my state that is not yellow! I might have to wait for the 06's.

My experience with private extended warranties is they suck.
It doesn't matter if it's for a bike, car, truck, etc. read the list of covered items carefully. If the failed part is not on their list, then it isn't covered. Each time I tried to use the one I had it never covered the failed parts, they weren't on the approved list. I canceled it with 2 years left to go.
If Triumph offers a factory extended warranty, look into it. They would be the best bet and would probably cover more.

I agree, extended warranties are worthless. The two year Triumph warranty is unlimited miles, so if you ride a lot, you will blow any defective parts within that window anyway.

Triumph doesn't offer one themselves, but some dealers do. As others have noted, for most of us it would be a waste of money.
