Wondering if anyone has laid hands on the 05 S3 grab rail pictured below. I ordered one from Triumph e-store (Hermy's) but ended up receiving the one shown on Triumph's own site, and it just looks horrible!

yes, Triumph will not be producing this piece because there was a safety issue when they tested it. I got someone from Triumph on the phone that told me this and then my local shop said the same thing. I was going to order one to strap gear down to but not anymore.

Did they tell you what the issue was at all? I quite like the look of the rack - although it could only serve as a glorified grabrail / net mounting place.
