I'm looking to get a high mount CF slip-on for my '99 Speed Triple. Anybody got a suggestion? I know there's a lot out there. I don't want something so loud that I'll get pulled over for it. Just something that will show off the single sided swing arm and let me hear a little more that the valves whirling...

I have a 2BR high mount carbon too - don't know about yours, but I would hardly call mine subdued - it is really loud!
(I like it personally but the requestor declared that wasn't what he was looking for)

DEcosse, have you repacked yours? I've repacked mine twice in 15,000 miles with the 20 dollar kit from TBR, and my bike has a non offensive tone. Well, until I really get on it! Repacking makes a Big difference.

How is the factory carbon race can? I really don't want something too loud, but I do want to be able to hear the exhaust. The stock exhaust is so quiet I hear the valve whir over the exhaust. I'm definitely looking at the factory high-mount carbon can...

I've got one of these on my '97 model. It's quite loud. Not Screaming Eagle Harley-Davidson loud, but it's definitely... resonant. It's the Triumph Off-Road carbon fiber high-mount. It disallows the use of rear footpegs, though, so I was almost thinking about trading up for a stock, low-mount can so I can mount the footpegs back on and cover up the footpeg mounting holes. I'm not a huge fan of loud cans, though, anyway.

I've got the C4 aluminum standard mount. Bike has a really nice burble at idle and is pretty loud at >5K RPM, sounds awesome on the triple However I think this pipe, and most any aftermarket pipe, will increase your chances of getting tagged by the Police thus I purposefully ride as quiet as possible in the city.

I love eBay! I just got the factory carbon high-mount race can for $200. Won't have it in my hands for a week or so, but I can't wait to get it on!
