Do you guys think we could get a 955I subheading or sticky or something? As a 955I owner, I feel like we have special needs and a great deal of the content of this forum concerns the 1050's

Just an idea.

I don't think it warrants a new sub-section Gene - many of the topics are common to both - the control systems (Sagem vs Keihin) probably the biggest difference.
I myself have a 955 - and don't really see a problem. I think it's easy enough to find specifics relating to each type within the general S3 forum and that answers to questions are generally readily forthcoming.
Realistically you could suggest that any of the 5 generations - 97-98, 99-01, 02-04, 05-7 and 08 + all have differences that could sub-categorize them - it becomes cumbersome.

Appreciate the suggestion however.

I was actually going to suggest this some time ago. Every time I'm on this forum I have to sort through several pages of "Which MIVV exhuast is best for my 06, 07, 08, etc" (whoever the hell MIVV is?) just to see a single post on a 97-05 bike.

But then the more I thought about it, I came to the realization that there was a reason for this. Apparently there are so few of us still operating the 97-05 (Triumph style) bikes vs. the 06-up (Buell style) bikes that the section would be mostly empty anyway. In other words, a waste of DEcosse's time. We should just be happy he doesn't dump us in with the "old" bikes in the T3 section!

p.s. Speaking of DEcosse, I (and I'm sure A LOT of others) greatly appreciate all he does for us and this forum. His expertise on late model Triumph electrics/electronics is second to none!
