2000 s3 warning light on

I just took my s3 out of storage for the winter and fired it up. The warning light on the bottom of the cluster stays on. My battery died over the winter if that means anything. What light is the one thats stuck on? It wasnt stuck before i parked it will it go off? Thanks

If the initial fault which triggered the light is no longer present it will go out after three complete warm-up/cool-down cycles.

The low battery voltage would indeed trigger a code, so possible cause. Other common causes are turning on ignition while tank or sensors are unplugged.
If it remains on, you will need to have the diag code pulled to see what the cause is.
