Someone on the forum posted pictures of how they made their own license plate bracket for the 2005 Speed Triple and showed the step by step pictures. I looked back months and months and didn't find it. anyone know where i can find that thread?

Sounds like a cunning plan, but how do we persuade them to get atop the trees?

(A philosophical question for when sober...) :-D

Ah, yet again, spelling makes all the difference...

I've got a side-mount license plate holder I got from a fellow RAT who sold his S3. I plan to make a few more out of nice thick aluminum sheet with beefier brackets to reduce flex. Looks pretty nice and I'm pretty sure the 05's swingarm bolt pattern is the same for the chain guard and such.

does this pic make my bike's arse look big?

I did this tail chop mod and soon after discovered that riding with the front wheel of the ground will put the plate in contact with the tire.

Ewww, hey, you need a .jpg at the end of your pic post to make it work. I checked the 'properties of your link, cut'n'paste the address, and added .jpg and it worked.

Your pic;

I haven't had any trouble with the swingarm mounted plate holder rubbing the ground or anything. Then again, I haven't been doing trackdays or had the opportunity to 'test' my frame sliders quite yet. I'm hoping I never get that opportunity...
