Has anyone had their Lip fly off fo the flyscreen?

I was riding the other day and the lip flew off and hit me. I was going maybe 50 mph.
I followed all the instructions for installing it with the sticky tape it came with.

I havent decided whether to drill it and mount with screws but if anyone has any tips would be appreciated.

My tape came loose after a month or so of repeated rides in the rain. I just ripped it off and find the pixie hat by itself seems to be a lot more stable than with the laminar lip. I noticed a lot of wind noise and some side to side wobble. One thing the lip does really well is deflect wind over your head when you're tucked, but if you've got a good full face helmet like my Shoei RF1000, wind isn't all that much of a problem other than on the legs and torso.

Yeah I just been riding around with just the pixie hat.
I am mostly dissapointed that the product wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It is not like I was looking for a fairing just a little something extra for those 600 plus mile rides.

I recommend the Roadracing fairing I've got. It does a great job of cutting through the wind, but the downside is that it creates a lot of wind noise. I made my own fairing that I need to refine a bit more that cuts through the wind pretty well and shoots it right over your head, but the downside is that it seemed to reduce the turning ability as it acted kind of like a sail.

I'm taking a motorcycle metalforming class this summer, so I should be able to throw something together that will do the job effectively and hopefully mount the same way as the pixie hat. My only complaint about the Roadracing fairing other than the wind noise would be that it bolts directly to the frame and replaces the stock headlight/tach bracket and you have to mount the tach to the handlebars via an included aluminum bracket which bolts around the ignition.
