Well the moment of truth has arrived and i hate doing this. Leaving my baby with strangers and not really knowing how my bike will be treated. The older guys are ok but the young uns just dont care about bikes the same way.

I will be asking them to power bleed the brakes (they should be better than they) as i can almost pull them to the bar and i have a squeal from the front as well.
I will also be asking about the coolant (just to see if triumph have said anything yet).

any tips before i take her in?

(sound of violins playing)

Yeah Celt,

When you get it back after the service, check the drive chain tension with your weight on the bike before you ride off.

I had my first service on Monday, and I headed off onto the Freeway, and about 60km later I'm cruising down a street near home when I notice that the bike doesn't feel as smooth as it should......the chain was as tight as a bow string. I was not impressed and I rang the workshop and let them know that I was not impressed. At least they had the good grace to be apologetic. I know it is only a small thing, but if the people working on your pride and joy can't get such a simple thing as adjusting a chain right, how do they go on the more difficult procedures?

You'll appreciate the brakes so much more after a good bleed - it's like night and day.

well had service. they only took about 1 - 1.5 hours which doesnt seem long enough for the amount of checks.
is that a normal amount of time?

i should have marked a few things so i could have checked. next time i'll remember to do that.

i still had to fork out £30+ for a bloody oil filter and the oil. you would think that they would at least make the 1st service totally free.

and the weather was monsoon like. im still drying off

If you are talking about your first 600 miles service then 1 to 1.5 hours is about right. All they do is change the oil and tighten a few things.

Quite a few Triumph delaers in the UK come consistently high in the Ride reader survey. I've not heard too many bad reviews from proper Triumph dealers.
