Givi T702 rack?

Anybody using this? Am I going to be the guinea pig? Seems like a good solution for tossing on some side bags (like the Ortlieb quick release bags)

First I've heard of it. Givi wasn't selling this back in June or July. Good find! Not thrilled it requires the stock mud guard, though.

I thought about this, and asked them if it fits the 2005 - 2007 bike, and the reply is - no. And they don't want me modifying one to fit either. However, at the Milan bike show, Touratech are displaying a Speedy with hard luggage fitted. So I'll check that out at our NEC show in a weeks time.

Project, or product? You decide.

Nothing at the Sydney show this weekend... Though Touratech wasn't represented at all

That one pictured above looks fine to me... pity it probably wont fit the 05-07

I will certainly ask them if there's a version to fit the 05-07, as mine is an 05. I think if not, it's certainly my next project, the bike can take that kind of load, it's just making it fit dammit!

My camera didn't work, so I couldn't take pictures, but it did look like the usual superb Touratech quality! I asked and the Triumph and Touratech guys agreed that it should fit all speed triple 1050 models. It replaces the pillion pegs, and bolts on underneath the seat, where the holes for the pillion t-bar are, with a support bar running behind underneath the number plate. Boxes are Zega pro 31 litres, in black or silver. They're not on the website yet, but they are slowly updating and adding the new kit. The pannier and rack kit in black 615-3610 is £1055 and silver 615-3620 £1021, plus shipping. I'm told they are available to order now. Not cheap, but it did look like quality.

They also have all sorts of other accessories, a belly pan, adjustable levers, exhaust heat shields and the like. none of it cheap, but all good quality.

No, I'm not a Touratech employee, I'm just won over by the kit I saw today!

I'm assuming this system allows space for the stock exhaust (and other high-rise systems), not to mention the brackets would have to be routed to avoid the exhaust

Also, for someone that has looked at the 2 bikes side-by-side, are the pillion peg mounts further back on the 08+ because from memory the grab rail mount (the under seat mounts) is further back on the 08+. If these dimensions aren't consistent then they wont fit (without a little modification at least)

I had a good look at the touratech bike at the NEC. The brackets do indeed give room for the stock/aftermarket high level pipes, but I feel the downside to that is the total width of the panniers. It's gives the impression of being as wide as a car, they are certainly wider than many bikes with fixed luggage like the Tiger and ST. It must have the agility of a tank with those Touratech boxes fitted!
And the price.......

Some of the other trick bits like the cowl/radiator mounted fog lights are really cool looking
