Pros/Cons-Triumph exhaust on my '06 S3

Ok- here's the deal, my dealer wants to sell me his Triumph brand silver exhaust for my Black 2006 S3. It will improve my HP by 4 horses I'm told. If they were black, it would be a better look, but other than that, what is the value here? I'm able to buy the pipes for his cost, does the bike motor run better? Is there re-mapping involved? I've done this with Ducs and Termi's where the difference in motor and sound is significant.
Looking for your points of view

TIA

Do you mean the stock cans or the Triumph Off Road System(TORS) cans?
What is a Triumph silver exhaust?

That's a bike night bragging number - not a noticeable real-world number. If you really want to wring out some more performance from the bike, spend that money on a track school.

I am unclear on which exhausts you are talking about.

There are several exhaust available from Triumph dealers for the 1050 S3.
Stock - catalysts and baffles in silencers.
TORS - Triumph Off-Road Silencers
Arrow slip-on high mount dual silencers
Arrow full system - low mount single - GP-style.

Each of these requires different mapping, and will not really show their full value until the bike has been tuned, and not simply loaded with a Triumph map.

Thx for the response Guys-
these are the cans not the whole system, they are TOR. Just wondering about performance improvement with the tuning.
As far as track time, I have a 748 that's exclusive for that, S3 is street only.

TORS are a deeper sounding grumble, I don't think there is much of a performance improvement involved.
Good luck.

The TORS cans with the TORS tune uploaded should give you a little tiny bump in horsepower. NOTHING that will knock your socks off....other than that it will sound a bit more aggressive. Big whoopie.

Besides, those cans weigh a ton, like two shiney anchors. Avoid them and get yourself a lighter exhaust. No exhaust alone is gonna give you a ton of performance increase. The mild bump in horsepower, a properly mapped bike, and with the weight savings ....that will be the key.

Thanks S3- that's the info I was looking into, in the past besides getting a better sound (Termi's) the engine would be tuned and run smoother.
I'm passing on these even thought I can get them at the dealer's cost.
