O.K. I've put about 3000 miles on my 09 S3 & I'm over the moon with it.
Just one small fly in the ointment.
It will pull up to the limiter in all gears,but in top gear she'll only go as far as 8500rpm.This comes out at about 135 mph(slower than my Street Triple).
I was expecting about 150mph.
So should it pull to the red line in top gear ?
I don't want to be flat out all the time but would like to know it's there if I want it.

Any suggesions ?????

How much do you weigh? I am 15 stone and have seen 140 only once.

You should be pulling WELL passed 130 mph.

Something doesn't sound right.

just put -1 on front and +3 on the rear spockets and you will see 160 mph every day

Talking to mates with Speedy, the general consensus was around 148mph stock. Mods and re-mapping will achieve higher top speed. My 05 has reached red in top gear and recorded 259kph (160mph). Found it rather unpleasant and not really my thing though.

Stock my early 07 recorded 242kph on the dash when it ran out of puff
With Arrow 3-1 I've recorded 245kph and still more in it (but ran out of road where I tried)

Thanks for the feedback,

Though I'm an unaerodynamic 17 1/2 stone(about 220lb) I thought it should be more,my Street Triple managed about 142mph.

If it was up to the red line in top gear then fair enough.Don't want to do it every ride,but it's handy for p*****g off the odd sports car.

I'll pop up to the dealers next weekend & have a word.Needs further investigation.

Of course this was supervised and on a race track, eh Ferris!!
