Hi,
I have an '02 S3. At the base of the shock there are two setting screws. The one on the left reads S to H. The one on the opposite side is larger and has no letters or arrows. Can you tell me which controls rebound damping and what the other is for???

There is also a remote can which I thought controlled compression damping but this may not be the case. Can you tell me what the setting screw in the can controls???

Thanks
Vlad :???:

the adjuster screw at the base of the shock, with soft to hard marked on it controls the rebound damping, the factory setting being one and a half turns out from fully screwed in, the screw on the other side is locked in place and should not be touched(dont know why its there?)the remote reservoir adjuster screw controls the compression damping, the standard factory setting on this is one and a half turns out from fully in as well, spring preload is by the usual c spanner at top of spring, for some reason triumph advise not to adjust this!!!hope this helps

Hi Green,

Thanks a lot for the info. I was sure somebody on this forum must have the answer.
Since you seem to know what's up, can you tell me the correct tire pressure front and rear? The bike came with Bridgestone 010.

Thanks again,
Vlad

Hi,

Thanks once again for the tire pressure info. If I may? Do you use the base line settings for the shock? If so can you give me any idea where I would go with 220 lbs?

Much appreciated,
Vlad

good question vlad, i just changed my tyres there and went back to stock settings on rear shock but i am finding i have to adjust it to suit myself, not found the ideal setting myself yet keep thinking the rear is just not right. so i am going to run with stock settings just now and slightly adjust tyre pressures, got it too low at 37 i think so i,ll keep you posted.im 238 lbs so think i will have to stiffen it up at the rear as well, not sure what weight the stock settings are to suit?? cheers
