Speed Triple Smoking after warm up.
97 T509 Speed Triple
My bike got knocked over awhile back, and after firing it up it was smoking quite a bit.
I have twice pulled the airbox and cleaned out the oil residue, including the drain plugs, I replaced the spark plugs, replaced the air filter with a K&N and I crossed my fingers that all would be well.
It seems to be running lean, and after about 20 minutes of running it starts to smoke out of the exhaust. It only seems to smoke after running for a bit but it's not running any hotter than normal.
I haven't changed the oil or cleaned the injectors.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I run injector cleaner through it, just run it until the smoke disappears? I haven't changed the oil yet, would that make a difference? It was fresh prior to the knock over. Would the K&N be part of the reason it's running lean or would it have to do more with the something gummed up in the fuel delivery... injectors, etc?
Any input would be appreciated, I'm at wits end here....
