Does the Speed Triple have a helmet lock?

I have a 2003 and can't see a helmet lock. This has got to be the only bike I ever owned that doesn't have one under of around the rear seat unless I'm missing something here. Can someone advise?

I haven't tried it, but the passenger footpegs have a place where you could run a bike lock or something through... But then, you could just put it over the handlebars and lock it there as well... That's it, to my knowledge. If it has a helmet lock, it's well hidden from me :P

I thought so. It's not for securing like overnight just to carry a spare nomally on the side most bikes have them but this doesn't. I can live with it because I love the bike. I notice you have the same one in silver as mine. Very nice!!

well, it's roulette green, but yeah. Speedy isn't really great for two up riding anyway, so I've been told by passengers (sore the next day too )

Cool, green is nice! Couldn't tell by the avitar. Riding 2 up is over rated anyway. I don't like anyone on the back and nor do I like being a passenger not in control. Does alright at my age anyway

Helmet locks dont seem to be a thing you find in the Triumph universe alas. I have rarely ever needed to tote about a second helmet but when I did (twice in four years) I used one of those elastic mesh nets w/hooks (dunno why I cant state it's formal name right now..) strapped about the rear seating area. It worked without issues.

You could try one of those 'MotionPro helmet locks' and bolt it to your passenger foot peg or subframe strut. I did this on my Daytona and it works great...never seem to use it tho, I always carry my lid. http://www.british-customs.com/motio...met-locks.html.

There are two foldout hooks under the passenger seat of my '01. What are those if not helmet hooks/locks? (I never leave helmets so it hasn't been an issue for me.)

One of the neatest alternate solutions is a ski rack lock. They are a combination lock with a spring-loaded retractable 4' cable. About the size of a pack of cigarettes, and long enough to run through a jacket sleeve, a helmet chinbar, and through the frame. $10-15.

I wondered the same thing originally and then I forgot about it quickly.


And I too have a silver 03 Spd3.
