I don't know how popular personalized plates are around the country, but when it came time to think of one for mine I couldn't come up with many that I liked. I finally decided on SP33D.

Was just wondering who else has vanity plates and what they came up with.

first, personalized plates are tough to pull off and still be cool. as one who has pondered this issue before finally getting my own personized plate, i would recommend that you get something subtle and avoid schoolboy braggadacio. even if we can back it up, it's just played.

example: saw a guy in a corvette with: evil

yeah, right, you're evil in your corvette. sigh.

i went with (and i'm not saying mine's cool or anything, but it suits me):

a d r n l n

(no spaces, though).

here's some good ones:
dbchry
primal

there is such a fine line on these vanity plates between being so 1980's (and not in a cool way) and pulling it off (not that i pulled it off either).

"bugeyez" is an example of someone that completely pulled that***** off - beautiful: clever, unusual, and speaks to the s3. nice one.

S3PNK because I'm a Speed Triple Punk and I'm a big Punk Rawk fan. Oh, and not this lame-ass 'Good Charlotte' emo ***** either! I'm talking Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Suicide Machines, Ramones, Sex Pistols kind of punk!

I just got mine on. I'm a national level bodybuilder so mine says:

CHIZLD

A little egotistical but thats what vanity plates (and kick-ass bikes like the S3) are about. It sounds tough and it speaks about who I am. I just have to make sure I'm in great shape when I'm riding. If I wasn't lean and my bike said "chizld" I'd want to kick my own ass.

Ditto here - the Ramones were simply the greatest band that ever existed. End of story. Funny I should read your post now - I'm listening to Leave Home as we speak. The Clash, Screeching Weasel, Dead Kennedys, 7 Seconds, and a few others get honorable mention, too.

Anyhow, on topic, I'm thinking about getting "TRIPL" for my S3 next time the license comes due. I wonder if it's already taken...

I knew a guy that had a Mustang with a plate that said "STANG". Of course it was the V6 version. Can you imagine all the people that wanted the word stang in indiana only to find out someone already had it? Then they must have thought the person who had it must of had a pretty cool ride. Only to find out it was a gay man with a V6 mustang. :hammer:
