First model year? The motor is not a far derivation from the previous versions - the issues they are having now should have been long worked out already!

are all these problems caused by a lack of testing, in itself caused by a lack of budget?

i recently found that a hose was completly off at one end after washing the bike. i wonder if this is the same hose~??

HD Center in Helsinki spent four hours to replace the shocks on my friends Bonneville America. That is a whopping one hour per nut. :-D Talk about efficiency. It was a recall.
My experience with my dealer (the said HD C) has been good, the guy I have tried to iron these kinks out with has always been very helpful & prompt, squeezing my bike into their overbooked timetables and working things out with Triumph.

My complain was aimed more at the factory, as these things in my opinion should have been ironed out before the bikes went to production. I should be riding a new, worry free bike, instead of hauling the bike to the shop every other week or having to religiously check the oil for the whole summer because of the leaking gasket.

im sorry you lads (martin r and 97tb) are having that many problems. at least we are paving the way for other owners.

yes, it is on the left side coming from the head down to the crankcase. it's the by-pass hose so it isn't conected to the radiator. I check it last nite it was tight and no leaks. it's probably ok I am sure out of the 900 some bikes only 3 failed maybe. just check it make sure there isn't any cracks and the clamps are tight oh and check the head out to see if u have any oil leaks I do that after evry ride now that I have 900 miles on it probably ok.

Knock on wood, I have had zero problems with mine as of yet. Just had the 6k service done, valves were in spec, slight bleed on the front brakes as there was a bit of air in 'em, but other than that, the bike is tip top.
