oil change

i have a 1998 speed triple 885. When i bought the bike it didn't have the manual. I was wondering how many quarts of oil it takes and what type of oil i should use.

Sorry, you posted in the Street Triple forum, and the odds are slim that any of us know the answer. (I still have a shop manual for my former 2005 S3, but it doesn't address the 1998s.) I'll see if I can get you relocated to the right forum to get a response.

Other Motorcycle: Suzuki SV650S
4L of mobil1 4t Racing 10/40.
4L is pretty close to 4 US Qts - but put about 3.5 in initially, start & circulate then let it settle again, before deciding on top-up.
