had the first run on my 05 today. had to stick to 3500 rpm (approx 60mph max) for the first 100 mile. after that i could take it up to 5000 rpm (85mph max) and my god its quick even with that limit.

it feels heavier than my old ducati monster but not by too much. the drop in is good and i feel confident on the lean. the pilots are well sticky when warm.
its the roll on speed thats most impresive as you can be bimbling along at 50 mph then truck comes up and indicate, throttle and bang your doing 80 mph (without changing gear)and you flash passed the truck. i consider that to be a safety feature.

i cant wait to get the rest of the miles on it and then i think i will travel up to the homeland (Scotland) and visit the relatives in Gourock.

anyone one else running in at the moment?????

Yes. I'm at the 6000 rpm range right now with just a few miles to go before 7000...and it's already just unbelievable.
:-)

I'm closing in on the 6000rpm limit.
The one good thing about break-in is the anticipation with the lifting of each rpm limit...

501 miles. I'm considering carbon fibre exhausts and a 17 t counter sprocket, as added saftey features.

Up to 700+ miles and loving it. Here in South Wales (thats UK) we have the roads for this bike and it just gets better every time I take her out.
The wife came for a short ride but chose not to travel any distance because the seat was to small (or it may be that we are to big) so the S3 is my toy and the Trophy is our combined bike, use the Trophy for our holidays and when she wants to come out and the S3 to have fun with my mates on the weekend and occasionaly for work.
