The Japanese with the exception of the Kawasaki Z1000 has been curiously absent from the hooligan/streetfighter class of motorcycle. Though one could argue that the Yamaha V-max was the first hooligan/streetfighter. But now it looks like Suzuki may actually come out with one of thier own. Im sure it will look quite different from the original concept but a 1300 hayabusa motor tuned for midrange and torque should be a real beast. http://www.motorcycledaily.com/25may05boostking.htm

That's a pretty sharp looking ride.

Here's BMW's entry http://www.motorcycledaily.com/18sep...bmw_k1200r.htm

Both would be >150 hp and qualify as what I call "Stupid Fast"

A factory naked 'Busa would be tight.
However, 'Zuki has already had the SV1000 out for some time now, and its a pretty sick ride. Honduh has had the 919, and Yammy the FZ1 [or Hornet and Fazer across the pond], not to the mention the new 1700cc Mt-01. And of course Kawi's ZRX1200 is the O.G. streetfighter [ha-do-ken!]The Vmax is a sweet set of wheels, but I feel it would fall under the "powercruiser" genre more than streetfighter, though I know some psycho Brits than would disagree w/ me. I've had 2 busas, one with about 30k invested making over 200hp at the rear tire.
If they build it, I will come, with money.

I'm just not a fan of the "component look" that seems so prevalent these days. Both those bikes look like they were bolted together out of prefabbed components. There's no line, no flow to the design. There's others out there also. Tuono, the Buells, the new BMW K bike, etc. Yamaha has one too, but I forgot the name of it.
