Hey Bucket,
Welcome to the waiting list. I sold my ZX12R early in April, paid my deposit on the S3 and have been waiting ever since. Its due on June 15. I have had a 30min test ride, and I can tell you this, you are gonna love it......loads of torque, sweet handling, it looks great... but you already know that!
hang in there ....it will be worth the wait..... read back over the last two months worth of postings on this forum. You will learn a lot.
Cheers

With the default suspension settings it has a little too light front and a tendency to understeer in the tight corners.
Remember to switch your suspension settings to the manual recommended 'Hard' asap when you get yours. It'll fix the handling department right up.
For other info, like Legman said, read the previous posts, there is plenty of stuff about the '05 in here.

This forum is full of it! Good info, I mean. ;-)
It's a different sort of riding experience from the Daytona, as you would naturally expect from a naked bike, and it feels more comfortable to me.
My take on the S3 is that it fills the same niche in 2005 that the Bonneville did in the late 60s and mid 70s--a combination of power with nimble, intuitive handling, and clean lines, which nobody else puts together in quite the same way.
It just feels so incredibly good to be on the Speed Triple! Whether you ever intend to push it to its limits or not, you'll never find it boring.
