Hi all,

New to posting here, but I've been reading for awhile. I have an 04 S3 and like to ride all day...

How comfortable is the Gel seat offered from Triumph? Should I try one or save up for a sargeant? I wish Corbin offered one...

I'm sure they've been discussed before, but my search came up empty.

Can't testify directly about the S3 gel seat yet, as I've just ordered mine today. However, I definitely like them on my other Triumphs. They take away some of the pressure buildup at key points.

Don't have a gel, or Sargeant. But the reviews of the gel seats have been mixed. Some people say that they helped. Others say that they were a waste of money. But all seem to agree that the gel seat gets hot and then maintains the heat if left in the sun.

Just something to consider.

I got the gel seat for my S3 a couple years ago - way better than the stock seat. It was firm at first, then got softer and moulded to my bony butt!

A lot of guys waited forever for Sargent (too long IMO) to come out with a seat - I'm sure they'll weigh in on this topic too!

I have the gel seat on my 03 S3. It is much better than the stock seat. I also like the textured look of the cover. It was a bit firm at first but will soften up with use. I would recommend the gel seat without hesitation. It is worth the money if you ride for more than an hour at a time.

I have the gel seat and the Sargent seat. I think the gel seat is a little better than the stock one . Boy does the gel get hot. The Sargent seat is Great. Save your $ and get the Sargent.

Or PM me if you want to try the gel seat cheap (perfect condition) before you lay out the bucks for the Sargent.
