Just installed woodcrafts a lil while back before I take her to track days. Love the look and feel in the turns (after some susp adjustments) but hate the fact that it kinda sucks the daily riderness out of it a little bit. Took her to the strip last night and ran 4 times, best an 11.01 at 127. Hard sucker to launch to say the least. for some reason the bike wants to wheelie off the line. Best part was the announcer when i rolled up to the line the first time. "Thats a.....uhhhh......yamaha or somethin. I dont know what it is but its red and makes the right noises" Here's some pics
Nice. Have you tuned the bike yet? What numbers have you gotten? Can you post the incrementals of the run? Im taking my 09 to the track tomorrow to see how it does.
60 ft time was a high 1.69ish would have to go fish out the slip outta the truck for the rest. no special tune, just a tors tune. it was a pretty tuf guy to get down the track. my turbo kz does better but has a lil more weight to keep her down. Just be careful with the clutch is my only advice. I was launchin just short of 4k and let out and squeezed the clutch back in depending on the height of the front wheel. clutchless shifts after that and pretty smooth from then on
Just finished at the track.. I couldn't get better than a 2.0 60' but I'm pretty sure I tripped the beam on my back tire. Ran 11.40@120mph. The bike weighs 665 with me on it. I dynoed 129/77 dynojet. I built a straight pipe to replace the stock exhaust and tuned it with tuneboy. I had a lot of fun.. its definitely not a drag bike.
