I sit here in utter disbelief...
15 minutes ago my 5 day old triple refused to wake up! I turn the key and the lights go on but nothing else seems to function! Is this hell or what?

Waiting for the tow-truck... can't believe this!

I dont even know where the emergency electricity switch is. It might be a good practical joke to play on someone.

:-D I did the exact same thing after washing my bike. I had accidentally pushed the emergency cutoff with a rag while cleaning the bike and as I never use the ***** switch I was baffled for a while why my bike would not start.

I was certain that I had forced water on the electrics and I was just about to dismantle the bike for drying it off, but gladly took a minute to think about it first and noticed the switch.

I am sure you will not do the same mistake again.

ok. I'll ask what everyone else is thinking...where the devil is the switch?

(I still have not finished reading my manual - bad boy!)

It's very close to the muffler bearings! Actually it's the kill switch on your right handlebar.

Right beside the caution sticker that warns not to burn yourself while greasing them. :roflmoa2:

Actually it's the kill switch on your right handlebar.

Correct.

And it's not a particularly good practical joke, hotmail. Easy to do, yes, but I don't recommend it unless your hospitalization policy is paid up and the "friend" you're going to do it to is blind, deaf, has a stuffy nose as well, and is preferably out of state at the time with all his buddies and family members, so there aren't any potential witnesses.

Otherwise--well, you see how frustrated drainbamage felt? (I've been there too, so I know.) Your victim will be equally frustrated, but if he is eventually able to put two and two together, he will have somebody to take it out on: namely, you.
:kck:

Hey Man, Don't feel too bad I did the same thing the second day I had mine. I was pissed. Really felt stupid when the 16 year old punk neighbor kid stopped by to point out that the switch was turned in the off position.

Kids these Days!

I once replaced all my fuses, dimantled a complete headlight assembly & most of a wiring harness to diagnose a burned out headlight bulb.
Sadly, the most effective tool in my tool box is my credit card.
