Hey guys!

Probably not much can be done with pricing on 05 S3. The dealer I'm eventually buying from probably will not be "moving"on the price. Is there any wiggle room? Can I just pay MSRP - without prep+extras?

Thanks!

If your not willing to wait 8 or so months then MSRP + preps and all are pretty much going to stick I feel. The dealer I purchased from has always helped me on prices, but wasn't able to budge a cent do to the 05 S3 are very limited in supply and in High demand right now.

Got a friend in a dealership?

They can waive the prep/destination fees. At current time, I think that's about as good as you can get.

I got the 05 and paid almost paid full.

What you can do is ask them to throw in stuff like tank pad or half off accessories if your going to get them anyway.

Maybe Jacket, gloves, boots or helmet to off-set the price.
Tell the dealer that your going to spend everything you got on the bike and see what they say.

Also see if they can do the first 500 mile check up for free.
remember when getting a new bike, your going to get stuff for it.

Good Luck!

I just bought mine Thursday. All the dealer would offer was $100 off, 15% of parts and accessories purchased with the bike, 2/3 off first service, and 10% off parts, accessories, and service for life. I would have paid retail as we both knew the bike would sell at that but it was nice of the dealer to give me a token discount.

I have a friend at the dealer, and I'm trying to work her. Anything, something! I'll be getting their last blue on this year.

I paid full MSRP and dealer fees, but I got 10% off accessories (I've got a gel seat, belly pan, hugger, grab rail and tank bag on the way now) and the 1st service thrown in... given the quantities vs. demand out there, i think I got the best deal possible. If I were a patient man, I'd have waited 'til '06, but I'm not and I don't regret it, heh.

I followed this thread, and Brea is the dealer I'm dealing with. Based on the short thread, the responses seems to be to shop then ask Tom et.al to match. Brea sounds like they won't budge....but there's the experience/relationship vs. price of bike argument.

I think I'll shop then see where Brea can move.

Check out the thread....
