looking for some input from someone who has the scorpion slip on installed on their bike. my local dealer says it can be run without remapping the fuel program. scorpion advertises the same thing. does any body have a bike running the scorpion that can give me the real world answer? appreciate the input on how it performs and if its a loud or what, set up. aj

Fitted the very same 2 weeks ago now. At idle and up to around 4000rpm, it doesn't sound any louder than standard. It is a good deal lighter though and you can certainly hear the 'howl' when you open it up. I'd say it feels smoother throughout the rev range and the fuel does NOT need re-mapping. The rear end of the bike is around 2" narrower too as the oval can is mounted inside the pillion peg.... :hammer:

to furgue, thanx for the feedback. when the selling dealer said no remap i had my doubts. it seems as though you have had good luck w/o the remap. thanks again, aj

I can second that. I'm running the high level Scorpion with the baffle in on my 2004 with no remap and the bike runs beautifully.

The guy who sold me the Scorpion can also mentioned that you can take the baffle out and the motor will still run fine without a re-map, but for all the extra noise you will only gain another 1 BHP...... :hammer:
